Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theater artists will help to buy lung ventilators for children

On June 1, International Children's Day, the choir of the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theater will perform in support of the Ufa Hospice.

On this day, a charity concert will take place, all proceeds from ticket sales will be channeled to purchase equipment for the children's department of the hospice under construction.

"Equipment for a child with an incurable disease is an opportunity to eat, breathe, sleep. We need oxygen concentrators, lung ventilators and NIVs, aspirators, consumables for enteral nutrition, and much more. The total amount for the children's department exceeds 11 million rubles. We are very grateful to the staff and the theater management for their initiative," Radmila Surnacheva, executive director of the Ufa Hospice, commented on the event.

The concert will take place in the Great Hall of the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theater. Tickets cost from 200 to 2000 rubles. The program of the night includes two compositions of church music. The first will be performed by a cappella choir; the second will be accompanied by a piano.

The first hospital in the region for children and adults with incurable diseases will open in Bashkiria in the autumn of 2021. The building is being erected behind the Mega shopping center in Ufa entirely on charitable donations.
