3.5 billion rubles will be allocated to support projects of culture, art, and creative industries

President Vladimir Putin signed a decree establishing the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives. The document was posted on the official Internet portal of legal information on May 17.

“In order to support projects in the field of culture, art, and creative (creative) industries, I decided to consider it expedient to create a Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives. The founder of the Foundation is the Presidential Grant Foundation for the Development of Civil Society,” the decree says.

The Foundation will provide support for projects in the field of culture, art, and creative industries, implemented by commercial and non-profit organizations, individual entrepreneurs. The institution will hold competitions and, based on the results, provide presidential grants for the implementation of these projects.

In 2021, the Foundation will receive a presidential grant in the amount of 3.5 billion rubles to support projects without competition.
