Ambulance doctors were awarded orders and medals in Bashkiria

In Ufa, ambulance doctors and nurses were awarded orders and medals.

The awards ceremony took place at the House of the Republic on April 28 - the professional holiday of emergency medical workers.

By decrees of the President of the Russian Federation, the therapist of the Emergency Hospital of Ufa Farit Asfandiyarov, the doctor of the Republican Ambulance Station, and the Center for Disaster Medicine Venera Salimkhanova were awarded the medal of the Order of Merit to the Fatherland, II degree.

The Luka Krymsky medal was awarded to the senior nurse of the intensive care unit of the Emergency Hospital, Svetlana Aminova, and the neurologist of the Republican Emergency Medical Station and the Emergency Medicine Center Vera Zhevnovskaya.

Fazyl Khaibullin, anesthesiologist, head of the intensive care unit of the Belebey Central Regional Hospital, was awarded the title "Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation".

"In 2020, the ambulance services of Bashkiria received more than two million calls. These are hundreds of thousands of lives saved; these are emergency hospitalizations, IVs", Alexander Sidyakin, the Chief of Staff of the Head of Bashkiria, said. "Ambulance workers are the first to deal with human pain and provide assistance. These people enjoy special respect, they are people of courage, we are proud of them, they are well-deserved awards".

He also expressed gratitude to the volunteers of the republic, who actively worked alongside doctors, helping people in need. The "Nasha Zabota" center of the regional branch of the "United Russia" party united more than five thousand volunteers. About 700 thousand food kits and medicines, more than a million masks were delivered.

A volunteer of the United Russia headquarters from the Chishminsky district of Bashkiria, Radik Asfandiyarov, passed away after being infected with the coronavirus on March 17. He was posthumously awarded the Order of Pirogov. His wife Lyubov Asfandiyarova received the award for him.
