Ufa airport merged two terminals of domestic airlines into one complex

The terminals of domestic airlines - the existing one and the new one, built at the end of 2020, were combined into a single complex at the Ufa airport.

The total area of ​​the terminal has grown to 29 thousand square meters, and the throughput capacity has grown from 600 to 1200 people per hour. Warm inter-terminal passages have been built - on the first and second floors of buildings.

According to the general director of the Ufa Airport, Alexander Andreev, the merge of the terminals will make it possible to serve more than 4 million passengers a year, of which 2 million will be operated by domestic airlines.

The passage on the second floor made it possible to create a single sterile area for passengers departing on domestic flights, almost doubling its total area. Business-class passengers and priority members of airline loyalty programs can use the Iremel Lounge in the sterile area of the new building. The business lounge has a separate children's area. A café with national cuisine operates in the sterile area of the new building, and a souvenir shop is planned to open in the future.

"The passage on the first floor has combined the arrival area of ​​the new terminal with the departure area of ​​terminal 1. Now all passengers arriving on domestic flights will receive their luggage in the arrival area of ​​the new building, there are three baggage carousels there," the press service of the Ufa air hub reported.
