Video of ice jam explosion on Inzer River in Beloretsky district was shot

Ice was blown up in the Beloretsky district on the Inzer River. Earlier, due to the formed ice jam, the river near ​​the Assy village overflowed its banks. Local residents and livestock were evacuated. Some buildings and cars drowned in the water completely, eyewitnesses told the agency.

Shots of blasting operations on the river were recorded by a resident of the village of Assy. The video shows several explosions to clear the jam.

Farit Gumerov, Chairman of the RB State Committee for Emergency Situations, said at a briefing on the flood situation in the republic that mountain rivers had not yet reached their maximums, so a difficult situation was developing on the Inzer River. “There is an explosive team of military personnel there. They are ready to start blasting. Blasting operations were carried out yesterday on the Inzer River in the Beloretsky district. Only from the eighth time, it was possible to eliminate the ice jam and remove the threat of flooding of the nearest settlements,” Farit Gumerov said.
