Bashkiria is preparing to launch tourist rafting on the Zilim River. The season starts next week, the Directorate for Specially Protected Natural Areas RB told the Bashinform News Agency.

According to Azamat Ibatullin, head of the Zilim Natural Park, routes along the Zilim River are especially popular among the republic's residents and guests. More than 500 visitors a day are expected this year.

The Directorate drew attention to the need to comply with safety regulations when visiting natural parks. In particular, inexperienced tourists and without special sports equipment are prohibited from rafting along the upper reaches of the Zilim, especially along the Kysyk rapids, during the flood period, experts warned.

Before rafting, it is imperative to register your group with the Ministry of Emergency Situations and warn the Zilim Natural Park employees about the visit. You can notify the park staff and get a ticket on the website of the Directorate. It is worth doing this in advance since there is no communication in the natural park territory.
