Radiy Khabirov met with Bashkortostan national team preparing for WorldSkills Russia championship

On April 12, in the Ufa Congress Hall "Toratau", the Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, met with members of the expanded regional team of the championship movement "Young Professionals" (WorldSkills Russia). The Bashkortostan team is now preparing for the 9th National Championship, to be held in the republic from July 21 to 26, 2021.
Opening the meeting, Radiy Khabirov stressed that the "Young Professionals" championship successfully solved the most crucial task - increased the prestige of blue-collar professions, the quality, and competitiveness of vocational education, expanded interregional cooperation in this area.
Bashkortostan has a rich history of vocational education development. Today it is one of the largest in the country and includes 96 colleges.
Robert Urazov, General Director of WorldSkills Russia, said that the championship would help young people study modern production in practice.
The Prime Minister of the Government RB Andrei Nazarov expressed hope that the main result of this unique event would be additional competencies making participants more competitive in the labor market.
"One of the main objectives of the Young Professionals Championship is to increase the prestige of blue-collar professions," Radiy Khabirov said, answering a question from a member of the Bashkortostan national team about the importance of the championship for the republic.
The final of the WorldSkills Russia is the largest professional skills competition in the country according to WorldSkills standards among students of secondary and higher professional educational institutions aged 16 to 25 and representatives of the WorldSkills Russia Juniors - schoolchildren under 16 years old.
In 2021, the final of the 9th National Championship "Young Professionals" (WorldSkills Russia) will be held in Ufa from July 21 to 25. Competitions will be conducted in 105 professional competencies, divided into seven blocks: construction and construction technologies; information and communication technologies; creativity and design; production and engineering technologies; services sector; transport and logistic; education. Competitions in the WorldSkills Russia Juniors direction are planned for 51 competencies.
The business program will include several thematic tracks. Speakers and moderators will discuss issues of personnel training and retraining, interaction with regional coordination centers, the formation of new competencies, a demonstration exam according to WorldSkills Russia standards and other projects of the movement, as well as the best regional practices.
