Bashkiria Government is working on agreement with Russian Government on BSC development

The Government of Bashkiria will conclude an agreement with the Russian Government on developing the Bashkir Soda Company (BSC). On April 7, in Moscow, the Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, met with Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Yuri Borisov.
The parties discussed current trends in the development of regional industry and measures to support new industry projects.
Radiy Khabirov spoke about the main results of the work of the industrial sector of Bashkortostan in 2020 and tasks for the near future and noted the positive trend of investments in the republic's economy. The total volume of investments last year reached 366 billion rubles.
Yuri Borisov praised the regional leadership activity during the pandemic, which positively affected industry indicators. At the end of 2020, the industrial production index of Bashkortostan amounted to 98 percent, which was almost one percent higher than the national average.
The main subject of discussion was the transfer to Bashkortostan of a part of the shareholding of Bashkir Soda Company JSC.
Recall that on March 31, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the return of 38.3 percent of the BSC shares to the republic's ownership. Another 11.7 percent + one share was transferred to trust management structures that are under the full control of the Government RB.
“Vladimir Putin instructed to conclude a special agreement between the Government of Russia and the Government of Bashkortostan with specific plans for the company development. We are already working on this document,” Radiy Khabirov said.
Among the key points of the future agreement, the Head of the Region named the preservation of production indicators and the number of the "BSC" employees, the annual increase in investments, the implementation of social programs of the enterprise, the strengthening of the raw material base to ensure production of high-quality limestone in the medium and long term.
Besides, at the meeting, the issues of the development of machine-building enterprises - the flagship of the aviation industry, UEC-UMPO, which will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2025, the Ishimbay manufacturer of tracked transporters Vityaz, the Salavat-Gidravlika plant, which has unique competencies for manufacturing power hydraulics for various industries and transport, the Bashkir Production Association "Progress".
