Nine cities of Bashkiria were included in list of cities with comfortable environment

Agidel, Belebey, Dyurtyuli, Salavat, Sibay, Sterlitamak, Tuymazy, Ufa, Yanaul were included in the list of cities with a comfortable urban environment compiled by the Ministry of Construction of Russia. The Acting Minister of Housing and Utility Services informed about this at a briefing session in the government of the Republic of Bashkortostan Irina Golovanova.

According to her, Salavat (155 thousand people) and Yanaul (25 thousand people) were added to the seven cities included in the list earlier.

Ishimbay, Mezhgorye, Kumertau, Meleuz, Baimak, Oktyabrsky, Neftekamsk, Uchaly, Davlekanovo, Beloretsk, Blagoveshchensk, Birsk - all cities, except the last one, improved their positions but did not score enough points to enter the list of comfortable cities.

"Three cities - Kumertau, Ishimbay, Meleuz – were just one point behind to reach the green zone," the Minister said.

As Irina Golovanova informed, the republic has fulfilled the plan for cities with a comfortable urban environment - 43% in 2020 instead of the planned 38%. In terms of the share of comfortable cities, Bashkiria took 17th place among the subjects of the Russian Federation and third place among the regions of the Volga Federal District.

According to the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation, in 2020, the index was calculated for 1,116 Russian cities. A comfortable urban environment was recorded in every third city - the share of such cities was 33.6%. According to the federal project's goals of the same name, a favorable environment should be formed in 60% of Russian cities by 2024.
