Over one million trees will be planted in Bashkiria as part of Victory Forest project
In Bashkiria, the key tasks of the Victory Forest project have been identified. This year the campaign is timed to coincide with the 80th anniversary of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War. The Ministry of Forestry RB is preparing 65 plots on 251 hectares, where it is planned to plant more than 1 million seedlings. These alleys will be dedicated to the military units formed in the republic during the war.
In 2020, the project was dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Victory. The campaign participants planted trees created alleys on September 19 and 26, which were given the names of the defenders of the Fatherland to preserve the memory of the heroes of the war. 55818 citizens of the republic took part in the campaign, 255453 trees were planted in settlements, and 610,000 young seedlings in the forest. 1886 named trees, alleys, and squares honored the memory of the Great Patriotic War heroes.
