Russian President announced possible coronavirus restrictions lifting by end of summer

The restrictions that have been introduced in Russia due to the pandemic of the new coronavirus infection may be lifted by the end of this summer. Vladimir Putin stated this on the air of the TV program "Moscow. Kremlin. Putin" on the channel "Russia 1".
The head of state expects that population immunity to COVID-19 in the Russian Federation will be achieved by the end of August.
"About 70 percent of the adult population needs to be vaccinated for this to happen. If (vaccination - editor's note) goes at the same pace as now, I think that in the summer, by the end of the summer, we will reach, should achieve, such an indicator," the President said.
Putin stressed that all three Russian vaccines are by far the best. They are efficient, reliable, and safe.
The first in Russia and in the world vaccine against COVID-19 - "Sputnik V" was developed at the Gamaleya Center. It was registered on August 11, 2020. The second was the peptide vaccine "EpiVacCorona" of the "Vector" center from Novosibirsk. It was registered last fall. The third vaccine against the new coronavirus infection - "CoviVac" - was developed by the Chumakov Center. It was registered in February 2021.
