Since April 1, Russia resumes regular passenger flights with six countries - Germany, Venezuela, Sri Lanka, Syria, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan. This became known at a meeting of the emergency operations center to prevent the importation and spread of new coronavirus infection in the Russian Federation.
“Taking into account the epidemiological situation in individual countries and in agreement with Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, it was decided to resume on a reciprocal basis from April 1, 2021, regular international flights with Venezuela (Moscow - Caracas twice a week), Syria (Moscow - Damascus once a week), Tajikistan (Moscow - Dushanbe once a week), Uzbekistan (Moscow - Tashkent once a week) and Sri Lanka (Moscow - Colombo once a week),” the emergency operations center informs.
From the same day, in agreement with the German aviation authorities, regular flights will be resumed on the following routes:
Frankfurt am Main - Moscow - Frankfurt am Main (five times a week),
Frankfurt am Main - St. Petersburg - Frankfurt am Main (three times a week),
Moscow - Berlin - Moscow (five times a week),
Moscow - Frankfurt am Main - Moscow (three times a week).
Besides, the number of regular flights from Cuba will increase (up to seven flights per week on the Moscow-Varadero route), Belarus (one flight per week on the Kaliningrad-Minsk route), Armenia, Azerbaijan, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates (one flight per week).
From April 1, it was decided to resume flights to foreign countries from the airports of Barnaul, Belgorod, Volgograd, Voronezh, Kaluga, Krasnodar, Lipetsk, Nalchik, Orenburg, Saratov, Sochi, Tyumen, and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.
Foreign citizens must have a negative coronavirus test done by the PCR method no earlier than 72 hours before the flight to Russia. Russian citizens should take a PCR test upon arrival in the Russian Federation within 72 hours.
