Military parades in honor of Victory Day will be held in 28 Russian cities, including Moscow, on May 9. Presumably, more than 47 thousand people, about 1.6 thousand military equipment units, and more than 200 aircraft will take part in them, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said at a board meeting.
The Minister noted that preparations for the event on Red Square in Moscow "are in full swing." The parade in the capital is planned to involve more than 12.5 thousand people, over 190 pieces of weapons and military equipment, and 76 aircraft.
In Bashkiria, according to the order of the Head of the Republic on the celebration of Victory Day, a number of events are also planned. The district administrations were advised to improve the military graves, hold festive events and support the "Immortal Regiment" campaign.
It is noted that the celebration of front-line soldiers, home front workers, and widows of participants in the Great Patriotic War should be held in strict observance of the rules established by the decree of the Head of the Region "On the introduction of the "Increased readiness" regime in connection with the threat of the new coronavirus infection spread.
