Decree was signed on celebration of 175th anniversary of "Caravan-Saray" historical and architectural complex

In 2021, events will be held dedicated to the 175th anniversary of the historical and architectural complex "Caravan-Saray", located in Orenburg. The decree on the celebration was signed by the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan and published on the portal of legal information of Bashkortostan on March 26, 2021.

The composition of the republican organizing committee for the preparation and holding of events chaired by the vice-premier of the government, Azat Badranov, has been approved.

The historical and architectural complex in Orenburg was built in 1837-1846 with voluntary donations to accommodate the office of the commander of the Bashkir-Meshcheryak army, a hotel for Bashkirs and Mishars who came to Orenburg "for their own needs and on business," a workshop and a school for Bashkirs. The historical and architectural complex consists of the Bashkir People's House and a mosque. In 1917-1918, the Caravan Saray building housed the residence of the government of the republic and the headquarters of the Bashkir army.
