First visitor center construction of Toratau Geopark is nearing completion in Bashkiria

The Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, announced the completion of the first visitor center construction of the Toratau Geopark. According to the Head of the Region, the authorities plan to create a network of such centers.

"Here we plan to place all information about our unique nature, about excursions, as well as exhibit and promote local products. Our goal is that any tourist can not only get emotions and impressions but also contact residents of nearby areas on the spot and buy natural products or handicraft goods," Radiy Khabirov posted on his social media.

Also, the visitor centers will host lectures for schoolchildren. The Head of Bashkiria noted that after the preliminary selection of the Toratau Geopark to be included in the UNESCO Global Network, the republic needs to meet international standards and develop infrastructure.

"The influx of tourists is at stake, which means a good groundwork for the southern territories development of the republic," Radiy Khabirov wrote.
