More than 24 thousand people fell ill with ARVI per week in Bashkiria

In Bashkortostan, the incidence of acute respiratory viral infections continues to grow.

Last week, from March 15 to March 21, 24 433 people fell ill with ARVI. The growth in comparison with the previous week was 15.4%, according to the regional Rospotrebnadzor. In Ufa, 7,163 people fell ill.

The incidence rate in the republic is currently at the level of the epidemic threshold, experts explain. More than half of the cases are children under 17 years of age.

According to laboratory studies, the carriage of influenza viruses has been detected. Respiratory viruses of non-influenza etiology are also determined: parainfluenza, adenoviruses, rhinoviruses, and metapneumovirus.
