Intellectual workers receive highest salaries in Bashkiria

It became known which industries pay the highest salaries in Russia. The corresponding rating was prepared by RIA Novosti. The study showed that the highest wages in the regions are paid to workers in the extractive industry, in the field of knowledge-based labor, and in the financial services industry. The healthcare industry strengthened its positions in 12 constituent entities.

The Sakhalin Region topped the rating. Here, the industry with the highest salary in 2020 was oil and gas production, where the average salary was 384 thousand rubles. Moscow takes second place (financial services - 187 thousand rubles). The third is the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District (oil and gas production - 174 thousand rubles). Bashkortostan is in the 44th line of the rating with a salary of 58 thousand rubles, which is received by employees working in professional and scientific activities.

According to the study, in 15 regions, even in the best industries, people on average cannot earn more than 45 thousand rubles a month, and in seven other subjects of the federation - no more than 50 thousand rubles. The last places are occupied by the Republic of Mordovia, the Republic of Kalmykia, the Pskov Region, the Kirov Region, and the Karachay-Cherkess Republic.

According to experts, the past year turned out to be very difficult in economic terms, including due to the coronavirus pandemic, and, most likely, 2021 will be only slightly better. In terms of wages, we can expect their nominal growth to continue at about the level of recent years.

As reported by the Bashinform News Agency, the average monthly nominal salary in Bashkiria, accrued to organizations' employees in 2020, exceeded 38,706 rubles. This is 5.3 percent more than in January-December 2019. At the same time, real wages in the region increased by 1.7 percent during this time. In December last year, the average salary in the republic reached 50,613 rubles. In general, it amounted to 42,459 rubles for the 4th quarter of 2020.
