Bashkiria Health Ministry named age of COVID-19youngest victim

The youngest victim of a new coronavirus infection in Bashkiria was a 23-year-old man. The oldest resident of the republic who died from COVID-19 was a 94-year-old man. According to the regional ministry of health, as of March 12, men in Bashkiria die from COVID more often than women - 162 versus 149, UfaTime.ru reports.

The publication, with reference to the official information of the department, specifies that among the deaths from coronavirus in Bashkiria, there are no newborns, pregnant women, and children, and the most common concomitant diseases are diabetes mellitus, obesity, circulatory diseases, heart disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and other respiratory diseases.

Earlier, the Bashinform News Agency reported that deaths of women in childbirth with coronavirus infection were recorded in the Demsky hospital in Ufa. According to the head of the maternity ward, Dina Absalyamova, all maternal mortality cases are examined by the obstetric and gynecological council.
