Sputnik V vaccine trials on cancer patients are started in Russia

In Russia, they began to study the Sputnik V anti-coronavirus vaccine on cancer patients, the director of the Gamaleya Center Alexander Ginzburg said on the air of the Soloviev Live YouTube channel.
"Separate trials on cancer patients have already begun," said Ginzburg.
According to him, there are no oncological diseases that would be a contraindication to this vaccination. The only exceptions are cases when a patient is on chemotherapy, takes drugs that suppress cell proliferation.
"If a patient is on such drugs, vaccination will not harm them, but at the same time, the effect of vaccination will not be achieved," the head of the Gamaleya Center concluded.
Besides, the Sputnik V vaccine is contraindicated for people with severe allergic complications such as Quincke's edema so that after vaccination, they do not experience anaphylactic shock.
