Arriving passengers will be checked for coronavirus at Ufa airport

At the Ufa airport, arriving passengers will be checked for COVID-19. The Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov gave such an order today at a briefing session in the republican government.

The checks will be selective to prevent infection from entering the region.

"We see that the infection is receding, but the situation is quite disturbing. It is complicated beyond the country's borders. Many countries are in lockdown again. 200-300 cases are registered every day in the neighboring regions. Moreover, it scares me that the death rate from the coronavirus is not decreasing. The number of infected people has dropped three times in the Russian Federation, but coronavirus's mortality rate is quite high. Several people die every week," Radiy Khabirov said.
