Bashkiria published data on air pollution in January 2021

Experts of the Bashkir Meteorological Center estimated the level of air pollution in the cities of the republic for a month. Observations were carried out in Ufa, Sterlitamak, Salavat, Blagoveshchensk and Tuymazy. Experts have published data for January 2021.

Thus, in Sterlitamak this month, the maximum allowable concentration for ammonia (1.5 MAC) and ethylbenzene (2 MAC) were registered twice.

In the capital of the region, three cases of exceeding the permissible standards were recorded in January: the content of carbon monoxide (1.3 MAC) was twice exceeded and once - nitrogen dioxide (1.4 MAC).

In Salavat, Blagoveshchensk and Tuymazy, no cases of exceeding the permissible limits were observed.

Earlier, Bashinform News Agency reported that on February 11 in Ufa, an excess of the maximum permissible concentration of phenol in the air was recorded. Some residents of the city complained of an unpleasant smell. According to Bashkir Meteorological Center's laboratory, the concentration of phenol was 8.1 MAC at observation station No. 2 (Svoboda Street, 44).
