Head of Bashkiria instructed to complete Kashkadan Park improvement by Republic Day

On February 28, the Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, inspected the progress of the Kashkadan Park improvement in the Oktyabrsky neighborhood of Ufa. Representatives of the contractor reported that the lake was completely cleaned up. At its deepest point, the lake will reach four meters. Its finish line will end with a clay retainer, which will make it possible to maintain a constant water level in the lake.

One of the threats to the ecology of the reservoir was sewage waters from the residential neighborhood. This created an unfavorable sanitary situation and led to the contamination of the water with various parasites.

According to the press service of the Head of the Republic, an anti-filtration screen and a storm sewer were installed around the lake as part of the improvement.

At the construction site, Radiy Khabirov held a briefing session with representatives of the Ufa administration and the contractor, where the parties discussed the prospects for further improvement of the park territory.

The Head of the Region emphasized that the park should meet the interests of residents. There is already a strong sports sector here. Then the playground should be renovated, separate bike and walking paths provided, a comfortable beach, recreation areas equipped, activities for different seasons supposed. In particular, a yacht club with boat and catamaran rental can operate on the lake in the summer and an ice rink in winter.

According to Radiy Khabirov, the park should have at least two restaurants, one of which is in the pier area. It is also planned to equip an orchestra stage there. A sailing ship model with an observation deck will be placed in the center of the lake.

"For the past three years, we have kept our leadership positions in the All-Russian competition for the best projects on a comfortable urban environment in small towns and historical settlements. Thanks to grants received within the competition, 16 municipalities of the republic are accomplishing their central squares. We have already submitted documents for the next competition and are waiting for new victories", the Head of Bashkortostan stated.

Radiy Khabirov instructed the Ufa mayor, Sergei Grekov, that the renewed Kashkadan Park should be ready to receive visitors by Republic Day, October 11, 2021.
