Mari Historical and Cultural Center was opened in Bashkiria after reconstruction

On February 19, in the village of Mishkino, Mishkinsky district, a grand opening of the Mari Historical And Cultural Center building took place after the reconstruction. The center's reconstruction went on for almost a year and a half and was carried out within the framework of the "100 objects for the 100th anniversary of Bashkortostan" project. An interactive museum, a craft museum, recording rooms, film studios, and a transforming assembly hall appeared here.
The Mari Historical and Cultural Center carries out a great deal of work on the study, revival, preservation of cultural values, traditions, the development of folk crafts, the preservation, strengthening, and development of the Mari people's language. Over the years of operation, a rich visual material has been accumulated, reflecting the Mari people's national identity.
It is worth noting that outside of Mari El, most Mari nationals live in our republic. The Mari language is studied by 4,500 students in 103 educational institutions of the republic.
The guests visited a craft workshop with machine tools and a 3D printer, a recording studio, animation and video, study rooms, and an interactive museum of Mari culture.
The first ceremony in the new multifunctional conference hall for 200 seats was the handing over of the state award of Bashkortostan.
Deputy Prime Minister Azat Badranov presented the Order of Friendship of Peoples to the chairman of the board of the local public organization "Ervel Mariy" of Krasnokamsk region Raisa Sataeva.
