WHO spokeswoman admits third wave of coronavirus possibility

The World Health Organization representative in Russia, Melita Vujnovich, in an interview with the TV channel «Russia 1», said that the beginning of the third wave of coronavirus would depend on people's behavior.
"The second wave is now showing a decline around the world. There is still no sufficient herd immunity; there is no barrier yet. If we are not careful, a third wave is possible," a WHO spokeswoman said.
However, Melita Vujnovic did not make predictions as to the end of the pandemic. According to her, it will be possible to talk about this when the number of people infected at the same time in all regions of the world will decrease to a level below the epidemiological threshold, and the burden on the healthcare system in connection with COVID-19 will not interfere with its regular operation.
As reported by the Bashinform agency, 154 new coronavirus cases and 152 cases of community-acquired pneumonia have been confirmed in Bashkiria over the past 24 hours. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 26,841 cases of COVID-19 have been registered in the republic. Over the past day, the number of deaths from COVID-19 increased by two and is 234 people.
