More than 4 thousand people have already signed up for COVID-19 vaccination in Bashkiria

More than 4 thousand Bashkiria residents have already signed up for vaccination against coronavirus through the "State Services" portal, it was reported at the next "Health Care Hour" session.

Bashkortostan received almost 40 thousand doses of Sputnik V vaccine, the Health Minister RB Maxim Zabelin. By the end of February, another 150 thousand doses will be supplied to our region.

93 vaccination points have been organized in the republic. In rural areas, a schedule is formed to deliver residents from remote settlements to central regional hospitals.

The priority list for vaccination, in addition to employees of medical, educational, and social institutions, included employees of transport, energy, service industries, government, and municipal employees, shift workers, older people over 60, as well as those who suffer from chronic diseases.

The republic is faced with the task of conducting mass vaccination against COVID-19 by analogy with influenza vaccinations to achieve coverage of at least 60% of the population, the Head of Bashkortostan recalled.

"The vaccine should be freely available, no queues!", Radiy Khabirov said. "Some people have doubts because of conflicting information. Our task is to explain the need for vaccinations and vaccinate at least 60 percent of the population. Only then we will bring this situation with COVID-19 to an end".
