Head of Bashkiria thanked residents for careful attitude towards natural heritage

The Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, thanked the republic residents for their careful attitude to the region's cultural, historical and natural heritage. "Our Yangantau Geopark was the first in Russia and the post-Soviet space to be included in the UNESCO Geoparks Global Network. I am very grateful to our inhabitants for the careful attitude towards our region's cultural, historical, and natural heritage. We are actively continuing this work. Moreover, we have already applied for a new Geopark "Toratau", which includes the whole complex of shikhans basing on Bashkortostan residents' wishes. This is very important for all of us, our future generations," the Head of the Republic said while delivering his Address to the State Assembly RB.

He noted that this summer, amid the closure of external tourism, we all once again saw how wonderful the nature of Bashkortostan was, how tourists enjoyed it. More than two million people have visited the republic in just one summer season.

"Starting this year, we will form new tourist areas with preferences for promising projects. We will have our own Burzyansky tourist cluster, for which we received almost 400 million rubles from the federal budget. We are forming two more clusters now - "Mighty Iremel" and the winner of the All-Russian competition "Heart of Bashkiria". We need to attract investments in this essential industry for us more actively, create new tourist facilities, develop services, and generally strengthen the infrastructure of hospitality, " Radiy Khabirov shared his plans.
