Decrease in number of hospitalized COVID patients is observed in Bashkiria

According to updated data from the Ministry of Health of Bashkiria, as of January 26, the number of people infected with a new coronavirus infection in the region reached 23 410 people, of which 168 - on the last day. At the same time, there is a decrease in the number of hospitalized patients. So, to date, 497 patients are being treated in hospitals; 56 of them remain in serious condition, 18 connected to lung ventilators.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 17,591 patients with the coronavirus have recovered in the region, 176 have died.

New cases with community-acquired pneumonia were detected per day 263, 257 were discharged from hospitals.

Earlier it was reported that in Bashkiria, by the end of February, it is planned to reduce the number of beds for patients infected with the coronavirus at hospitals. In general, until February 15, it is planned to reduce their number by 1000.

“Hospitals No. 5 and No. 10 have switched to regular work, a plan has been developed to transfer medical institutions to their specialized work. The beds will be vacated depending on the epidemiological situation, ” the Minister of Health of the Republic Maxim Zabelin said at a briefing session in the government on January 25.
