"Bashkiria" National Park visitors flow increased by more than 50% in 2020

The "Bashkiria" National Park in 2020 was visited by 66 thousand tourists. In 2019, there were 40 thousand visitors. At the same time, if in 2019 only 644 electronic visits were issued, last year 15,425 tourists preferred a contactless document, the administration of the national park noted.

The "Bashkiria" management believes that the growth of visits was influenced not only by the increased demand for domestic tourism due to quarantine but also by participation in the national project "Ecology", thanks to which the quality of the tourist infrastructure has improved.

"Two campgrounds, three tourist routes, a cave, and Kuperlya waterfall were equipped for visiting as part of the national project. There are plans to equip new tourist sites, routes, caves, observation platforms," said Vladimir Kuznetsov, director of the "Bashkiria" National Park.
