Pneumonia cases increased by 150 percent in Bashkiria

In Bashkiria, the number of pneumonia cases increased by 150 percent compared to last year. This was announced by the Minister of Health of Bashkiria Maxim Zabelin at a briefing session in the government of the republic on January 25.

“The increase in the number of pneumonia was more than 150 percent compared to last year, the mortality rate at the level of last year. There has been a 30 percent decrease in the number of ARVI and influenza cases”, Zabelin said.

The minister also noted that 1,200 ambulance teams work in Bashkiria, making 3,500 calls per day. There are 128 epidemiological teams.
