Bashkiria Health Ministry announces actions in case of new COVID-19 strain appearance in region

The Ministry of Health of Bashkiria told about actions in the event of a new COVID-19 strain recorded in the UK appearing in the region.

"If there is such a threat, we will take all the necessary measures that were in the first wave. This is testing, self-isolation of those who have returned from abroad, etc. If this strain appears in the Russian Federation's territory, then we will act following the recommendations of Rospotrebnadzor and the Ministry of Health of the country. However, according to the information we received, the available Gam-COVID-Vac vaccine is sensitive for this sub-strain as well," Health Minister, Maxim Zabelin informs.
