HC Salavat Yulaev changed "Mishkopad" format due to coronavirus

A good tradition at the Ufa-Arena will change its format on New Year's Eve. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Salavat Yulaev ice hockey club was forced to abandon the usual Mishkopad event, which is scheduled for December 28, the day of the match with Metallurg Magnitogorsk.

"Due to covid restrictions, we are forced to abandon selling and throwing toys on the ice, but we are not ready to interrupt our good tradition," Maxim Nikerin, head of the marketing department of the Bashkir club, told the Bashinform News Agency. "This year special posters with autographs of the players and "Mishkopad-masks" will be available for sale.

All proceeds from the sale of memorabilia will go to the treatment of the boy Mirlan from Sterlitamak. Details about the child will be released later.
