New Year holidays - Bashkiria Labor Ministry

In January, residents of the republic will have long New Year's holidays, the Ministry of Labor of Bashkiria reminds.

In accordance with the Labor Code of Russia, January 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8 are New Year holidays, January 7 - Christmas - are non-working holidays.

"In 2021, the non-working holidays on January 2 and 3 coincide with Saturday and Sunday, respectively. Following the Russian Government's decree, the day off from Saturday, January 2, has been moved to Friday, November 5, from Sunday, January 3 - to Friday, December 31," the Ministry of Labor of the Republic emphasized and added that working hours on Thursday, December 31, 2020, are reduced by one hour.

Thus, non-working holidays and days off in connection with the New Year holidays are January 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10, 2021.

When granting an annual basic or annual additional paid leave, the number of calendar days of leave does not include non-working holidays: January 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8.
