Coronavirus vaccinations for seniors may start next week

In Russia, mass vaccination against the new coronavirus infection of citizens over 60 may begin next week. The Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko announced this in an interview with the Vesti Nedeli program on the Russia 1 channel on December 20.

He added that clinical trials of the vaccine in 60+ people are currently being completed.

“We would recommend, including the regions, to involve patients with diabetes mellitus in vaccination,” the head of the department noted.

As the Bashinform News Agency reported, the number of coronavirus cases increased by 159 people in Bashkiria over the past day. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 17 260 cases of COVID-19 have been registered in the republic. Two more victims of the coronavirus are recorded in the republic. In total, 122 people died from COVID in Bashkiria.
