Record number of flu vaccines is produced in Bashkiria

The Ufa branch of R&P enterprise Microgen, Immunopreparat (managed by Natsimbio), produced 25.8 million doses of inactivated vaccine to prevent influenza under the Sovigripp brand in 2020.

The increase in production amounted to 25% of the maximum indicator for the drug production in the entire history of vaccine production at the Ufa plant and was by 63% more than in the previous year.

The increase in production is associated with the Ministry of Health's plans to vaccinate 60% of the population during the intense epidemic season for influenza and ARVI, burdened by the new coronavirus infection.

The entire produced volume was distributed among medical institutions in Russian regions.

In the current epidemic season, the Natsimbio holding donated 2 million 216 thousand doses of influenza vaccines.

There are 487 thousand doses of trivalent vaccines for children and 177 thousand doses of the new quadrivalent vaccine "Ultrix Quadri" to immunize the population aged 6 to 60 years.
