Doctor of Republican Clinical Hospital named unexpected COVID-19 symptom in winter

The rehabilitation physician of the Kuvatov Republican Clinical Hospital, Vadim Giniyatov, named an unexpected sign of COVID-19 in the winter. On his Instagram page, he gave a brief overview of the COVID-19 spread after ten months in Russia and named the main signs of the new coronavirus infection this spring, summer, autumn, and winter.
According to him, in the spring of 2020, the main and most frequent coronavirus symptoms were loss of taste and smell. Today these signs also remain the main ones. In the summer, patients with COVID-19 began to often complain of hearing impairment, which could be due to the process of hypercoagulability in coronavirus (micro thrombosis), the doctor explains.
“In the autumn, patients addressed with visual impairment complaints in the winter of 2020 - for conjunctivitis. The reason is probably the same,” Vadim Giniyatov writes and notes that today all this can be corrected during the rehabilitation process.
However, the main target organ of the coronavirus is the lungs, the rehabilitation doctor adds.
“The lung damage is manifested in severe and moderate cases. What happens in other organs and tissues, such as the liver, kidneys, pancreas, brain, muscles, to be studied in the future”, he wrote.
