Two "chupacabras" were caught on camera in Bashkiria

In Bashkiria, two raccoon dogs were caught by a camera trap in the Yangan-Tau Geopark (Salavatsky district), Geopark biologist Polina Polezhankina said.

Zoologists believe that it was these animals that terrified the farms of the inhabitants, not only in our republic but also in other regions. More than once, the press reported that a certain mythical creature pounces on hens, rabbits, drinks their blood, and leaves the victim's lifeless body. People have already named it "Chupacabra".

In fact, these are raccoon dogs, experts say. It turns out that these animals are practically bald at a young age. They acquire wool as they grow older. The raccoon dog eats animal and plant foods: mice, birds, beetles.
