Scientists have found way to neutralize coronavirus in two minutes

In two minutes, toothpaste with zinc and tin are able to neutralize the coronavirus by 99.9%. Such conclusions were made by American scientists during laboratory studies. The results are published in the British Dental Journal, RIA Novosti reports.

In addition, other findings were confirmed in another study that cetylpyridinium chloride mouthwash neutralizes the virus in half a minute.

"The results show that some toothpaste and mouthwashes can help reduce the spread of SARS-CoV-2 by temporarily reducing the amount of virus in the mouth," the publication said.

A total of 260 COVID-19 patients participated in clinical studies using toothpaste and mouthwash.

As previously reported, the total number of COVID-19 infected in Bashkiria exceeded 16 thousand. Over the past day, an anti-record for new confirmed cases has been broken in the region - plus 153 people.
