Coronavirus cases exceeded 16 thousand, three more died in Bashkiria

In Bashkiria, the number of COVID-19 cases is still growing, and as of December 14, it exceeded 16 thousand people. According to the Ministry of Health, announced today at a briefing session in the Government of Bashkortostan, the total number of the virus-infected was 16 317 people. 154 new cases of infection have been confirmed per day.

Three more deaths were recorded. According to the regional Ministry of Health, the total number of deaths from the coronavirus infection today is 106 people.

The number of cases with community-acquired pneumonia also remains high, the increase per day - 383. Patients discharged from hospitals after pneumonia - 369.

A total of 13,052 people recovered, 10 of them over the past day. Doctors have performed over 1.85 million tests for COVID-19. 25 republican laboratories carry out more than 11 thousand tests every day.

According to the Minister of Health of the Republic of Bashkortostan Maxim Zabelin, 6 405 infectious beds have been prepared and equipped in the republic's medical institutions. The free bed capacity is 26 percent.

The Head of the Republic, Radiy Khabirov, instructed to speed up the receipt of licenses to start the full-fledged work of a new Infectious Diseases Hospital in the city of Sterlitamak.

From November 1 to December 14, about 6,000 patients who are being treated for the coronavirus at home received free medicine kits.
