Alfred Akbashev: People come to Geopark from all parts of our country

"Even though the year is quite difficult, there is an increase in the tourist flow. People learn about us from the Internet, social networks and come from Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Siberian regions to see the Mechetlinsky section, ethnic village, and stay on the banks of the Yuryuzan River. A geopark included in the UNESCO system is a guarantee of security. Any tourist can come to communicate with nature without worrying about the threat to his own life," Director of the Yangan-Tau sanatorium and the ideological inspirer of the Geopark creation Alfred Akbashev said.

According to him, this is facilitated, among other things, by the infrastructure of the resort, where hiking, horseback riding, water, and even ornithological routes are developed, there is a hippodrome and, in addition to the main buildings of the sanatorium, several hotels and tourist centers.

It is proposed to assign the "Geopark No. 1" name to the Yangan-Tau Geopark in the near future. According to the vice-premier of the government of the republic Rustam Muratov, this brand will help improve the image and investment attractiveness of the project.

Also, an international competence center will open at Yangan-Tau, where they will train specialists for other Geoparks in Russia and the CIS countries and represent the interests of the Russian Federation's regions at international events to exchange experience with UNESCO Geoparks in foreign countries.

As we said earlier, at the meeting of the Board of Trustees, the Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, thanked the founders of the Yangan-Tau Geopark, Alfred Akbashev, and Larisa Belan, for their work. In the next two years, they plan to invest 920 million rubles in the development of the Toratau and Yangan-Tau Geoparks, of which about 435 million rubles for Yangan-Tau. According to the Head of the Republic, for the Geopark to become a tourist attraction, it is necessary to develop infrastructure, create high-quality services, and be engaged in landscaping and information support.
