Situation with coronavirus is characterized as stable in Bashkiria - Radiy Khabirov

The situation with the coronavirus in Bashkortostan is characterized as stable. The number of cases in the region exceeded 15 thousand people - 15 560 cases. The increase is, on average, about 140 people per day. 94 people died. The Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, announced this in a live television broadcast on the Russia 24 TV channel.

"I emphasize that the situation is stable as we have a fairly substantial reserve of bed capacity. This week we have completed the construction of another infectious diseases hospital. We will start operating it next week. That is, we have an additional 350 beds. Therefore, this situation inspires us a certain optimism," said the Head of the Republic.

Radiy Khabirov added that in Bashkiria, they began to fulfill the instructions of the president of the country - to provide outpatients with free medicines. Several thousand people are already receiving them.

As for vaccination, the Head of the Region noted that Bashkiria had already received the second batch of vaccines - 1,200 doses; previously, there were 40 doses. Before the New Year, the republic is waiting for another batch.

Since November 16, the Situational Anti-Covid Center has received about 18 thousand calls. Every day, operators answer from a thousand to one and a half thousand calls.

"Moreover, we process them in such a way that the caller receives final information or a solution to their issue. This is how it goes," Radiy Khabirov said.
