Vaccination against COVID-19 began in Bashkiria

Vaccination of Bashkiria residents from COVID-19 will begin today, it was reported on December 7 at a briefing session in the republican government.

The first large batch of a two-component vector vaccine of the Gamaleya Center Gam-COVID-Vac in the amount of 1200 doses arrived in the region on December 5.

First of all, those who work in direct contact with the infected - doctors, teachers, social workers - will be vaccinated.

"We should carry it out very quickly," stressed the Head of the Republic Radiy Khabirov. "It is very reasonable that we have received over a thousand doses so that we learn how to store, how to transfer them, how to vaccinate, how to organize this work. These are not 40 doses of vaccines that we received before. "

The second batch of the coronavirus vaccine to Bashkiria is expected by the end of December.

As previously reported, all coronavirus vaccinations are free of charge now, are prescribed by doctors, and are available only in public hospitals and clinics. There are no vaccines against COVID-19 in private medical institutions.
