Bashkiria will start producing medical oxygen for hospitals

Medical and technical gas production will be created in Blagoveshchensk with a full cycle of production, delivery, and service. The initiative was presented today at the "Investment Hour" session by Sergey Bessolov, Project Manager of the "Atmosphere" Research and Production Enterprise.

According to him, in the framework of countering the coronavirus pandemic in the country, the demand for medical oxygen for hospitals has sharply increased. However, the existing technologies for the production of gases do not meet the tasks' scale and are not always safe. The transition to the production of liquid gases will allow for solving these problems.

The company is now looking for a land plot for a future plant. About 200 million rubles will be spent on its construction. The equipment has already been delivered. The construction of the facility will begin in a month.

According to the investor, the project has a stable future - after the pandemic, excess gases can be redirected to petrochemical enterprises.

The Investment Committee of the Republic decided to support the project and include it in the list of priorities.
