The center will also include the admission and diagnostic department (including rooms for computed tomography, endoscopy, ultrasound diagnostics, functional diagnostics, and an X-ray room). There will also be the maternity and children's departments, surgical unit.
Following the hospital visit, the Chairman of the Government of the Ulyanovsk Region, Alexander Smekalin, noted that they had serious intentions to adopt the Bashkortostan practice. The Ulyanovsk region is already the 15th entity to take this project as a basis. A similar center has already been built in Chelyabinsk.
"I am very pleased that the leadership of the Republic of Bashkortostan has approached the solution of an essential social, state task regarding the creation of infrastructure to counter the new coronavirus infection, not just from a technical point of view. In fact, it seemed to me that this hospital, these buildings can initiate a whole direction of fundamental change in the attitude towards medical facilities, Alexander Smekalin said. "I am sure that we will build our cooperation and will be very grateful if the leadership of the republic assists in the creation of such facilities in our region".
