Bashkiria may start vaccinating against COVID-19 next week
Yesterday Russian President Vladimir Putin announced plans to begin large-scale vaccination of doctors and teachers against coronavirus next week. According to him, vaccination will begin with "the first two risk groups - doctors and teachers."
"The country has already produced about 2 million doses of the coronavirus vaccine. This gives us the opportunity to start, if not mass, then large-scale vaccination," TASS cites Russian President.
Earlier it was reported that the vaccine against COVID-19 would arrive in Bashkiria in early December. "We are preparing to receive a vaccine against a new coronavirus infection. The necessary storage and cold chain locations for the Sputnik V vaccine have been prepared. The necessary instructions and work with this vaccine have been carried out," said the Health Minister RB Maxim Zabelin at a briefing session in the republican government on Monday.
The Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, in turn, instructed to prepare for mass vaccination against COVID-19. According to him, a small batch of the coronavirus vaccine, which has already been used in the republic, has proven its effectiveness.
"People who have received the vaccine do not get sick. The solution to all our problems largely lies in vaccination against COVID-19," concluded the Head of the Region.
