In Sterlitamak, the construction of a new clinical infectious disease center was completed on December 1, as planned. This was announced by the Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan Andrei Nazarov, noting that the facility was erected in a record short time - in 50 days.
All construction and installation works have been completed. Now the premises are being cleaned up and medical equipment is being installed. The process of training medical personnel has also been launched.
The first patients are scheduled to be accommodated in 10 days.
Andrei Nazarov also noted that the republican experience of rapid construction of social facilities continues to be adopted by other regions of the Russian Federation. To date, 15 subjects have already used some developments of the Bashkortostan builders. A delegation from the Ulyanovsk region is coming to the construction site tomorrow. The infection center project was recognized as the best at the federal level.
For the construction of the infectious disease center in Sterlitamak, 2.19 billion rubles were allocated from Bashkortostan's budget. The center will include an obstetric and gynecological unit, an operating department, a central sterilization department, an admission-diagnostic, bacteriological laboratory, and a pharmacy. The total capacity of the hospital is 60 wards for round-the-clock stay and 14 intensive care wards. The number of beds in normal operation is 120. Additionally, 260 beds can be placed, and in emergency mode, up to 312 beds with 100% oxygen connection can be deployed.
