456 free kits of drugs for COVID-19 treatment at home were handed out in Bashkiria per week

In Bashkiria, 456 people received a free set of medicines to treat the new coronavirus infection and community-acquired pneumonia at home over the past week. The Minister of Health of the republic Maxim Zabelin reported it at a weekly briefing session in the government.

“At the moment, we have issued 345 free drug kits at the expense of federal funding and 111 kits at the expense of the republican budget. Control over the intake of drugs by patients is organized in polyclinics at the place of residence, as well as additionally at the expense of contact centers and the Republican Situation Center COVID-19, " the Health Minister RB said.

Let us recall that the delivery of free kits of medicines started in the republic on November 16. The drugs are allocated to polyclinics by the Ministry of Health to treat patients with a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19. The list of drugs is strictly regulated and approved at the federal level. The kit includes antibiotics, antivirals, antipyretics, and other drugs needed to treat COVID-19 at home. Since the burden on medical facilities during the pandemic has increased many times, volunteers are assisting in delivering medicines to addressees. Medicines will be delivered by volunteers who have had coronavirus and who have antibodies. More than 300 volunteers were selected. All of them will be provided with protective suits.
