The 70th death from COVID-19 was officially registered in Bashkiria. A 78-year-old Ufa woman died from the virus, the Ministry of Health of the republic reports. In addition to the confirmed infection, the woman had such diseases as stage 3 hypertension, type 2 diabetes mellitus, and the pensioner also had a lump in the right lung.

As of November 18, the number of cases of the new coronavirus in the region since the beginning of the pandemic has reached 12684 people.

Over the past day, COVID-19 was detected in 119 people, and another 366 residents were diagnosed with community-acquired pneumonia.

346 patients with a confirmed diagnosis of the coronavirus infection are treated in hospitals of the republic, of which 31 are in serious condition, one is connected to a lung ventilator. 1077 people are on outpatient treatment.
