Ufa artist is among winners of "FORMART" district street art festival

The work of the artist, Mansur Ziyaev from Ufa, took third place in the "FormART" district street art festival. The artist depicted a doctor holding the whole city in his arms on the facade of the city high-rise building of Neftekamsk. The winner of the festival was determined by summing up the popular vote and the expert vote results. More than 100 thousand people took part in the popular vote.
The best, according to the people's jury, were the works from the Samara and Saratov regions, which received more than 48 and 22 thousand votes, respectively. On the air, representatives of 14 regions of the district announced the results of the expert voting. According to the regional jury, unanimously, the prizes were again given to representatives of the Samara and Saratov regions. The Ufa artist took third place.
The art pieces announced for the festival received a good response from medical professionals and city residents. Among the finalists, there are graffiti dedicated to the contribution of health care workers and volunteers, unity in the fight against the pandemic, as well as reflections on the topic of the "post-COVID" era, adaptation of people to new realities. At the same time, the walls of medical institutions, hospitals, youth palaces, volunteer centers, and residential buildings located on the central streets of administrative centers and other cities of the region's regions became the "canvas" for them.
The prize fund for the festival was 300 thousand rubles. Each of the winners and prize-winners of the festival will receive an individual grant for creativity development: 1st place - 100 thousand rubles, 2nd place - 75 thousand rubles, 3rd place - 50 thousand rubles. The district project of street art is being implemented on the initiative of the Plenipotentiary Envoy of the President of the Russian Federation to the Volga Federal District Igor Komarov.
This year the street art festival's main theme is unity in combatting the new coronavirus infection COVID-19. Through their graffiti, young artists were able to convey the importance of the contribution of medical professionals and volunteers to preserve the life and health of the population, the care of citizens to the elderly and people with disabilities new realities, and the life of society in the "post-COVID era".
