Mobile teams of doctors will begin to assist patients with COVID-19 in Russia

Mobile teams will start working in Russia to treat patients with the coronavirus.

200 million rubles will be allocated to support their activities. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed the order.

This practice is used in several territories. Specialists from federal medical institutions and specialized universities travel to regions with the most difficult epidemiological situation. On the spot, they advise colleagues and assist patients.

The teams include doctors of various profiles: anesthesiologists-resuscitators, infectious disease specialists, pulmonologists, cardiologists, therapists.

32 medical institutions subordinate to the Ministry of Health take part in this work.

Among them is the V.I. Pirogov National Medical and Surgical Center, V.I. Bakulev Medical Research Center for Cardiovascular Surgery, National Medical Research Center for Cardiology, V.I. Kulakov Medical Center for Obstetrics and Gynecology, Bashkir State Medical University.

Federal funding will go towards wages and travel expenses.
