Kursk builders are interested in Bashkiria's project of infectious disease center

Builders from the city of Kursk are interested in Bashkiria's project of the Infectious Disease Center. The other day the Kursk delegation arrived in Ufa, where it visited the operating clinical and diagnostic Infectious Disease Center in the Zubovo neighborhood. A tour of the COVID hospital was held for colleagues, where they got acquainted with the necessary medical equipment and the staff's working conditions.

Then, under the leadership of First Deputy Minister of Health Azat Rakhmatullin, the colleagues visited the infectious diseases hospital's construction site in Sterlitamak.

It is planned that 60 isolation wards and 14 intensive care units will be located in the Sterlitamak Infectious Diseases Center. Besides, the project includes maternity, pediatric and surgical departments. It is planned to build a dormitory for medical staff for 40 beds with an enlarged utility unit.

"The republic's experience in the construction of infectious diseases hospitals has shown its relevance not only for our region. Representatives of six constituent entities of the country have already come for consultations, and two of them have already begun construction of similar facilities, taking into account the best practices of our republic," the Ministry of Health of Bashkiria reported.
